Quiet Light Collective was born from a simple truth: too many young people carry their pain alone in silence. We exist to change that — to be a quiet light in dark moments.
As a non-profit, every service we offer is completely free. We believe financial circumstances should never be a barrier to a young person getting the support they need.
Every young person who comes to us finds a space completely free from judgment, shame, or pressure.
Fully online and always free — because geography and finances should never determine who gets help.
We believe healing happens in relationship. Our community model helps young people realize they are never truly alone.
Fresia was more than a sister. She was someone deeply loved, deeply felt, and deeply missed.
From a young age, Fresia carried struggles that many people couldn't see. She faced bullying, low self-esteem, and ongoing health challenges that quietly shaped her world. To others, these may have seemed like moments, but to her, they were constant.
As her sister, I did everything I could to support her. I sought help, I showed up, I stood beside her. But the truth is, the support available was not enough. Access to consistent care was limited. The cost of therapy was overwhelming. And perhaps most difficult of all, there was still a stigma around asking for help.
Fresia fought in ways that were invisible to most people. And despite all the love around her, the system meant to support her fell short.
We lost Fresia at the age of 26.
Her story is one that should never be repeated.
Quiet Light Collective was created in her memory, with a promise: that no child should struggle in silence. That no family should feel helpless trying to find support. That access to mental health care should not depend on financial means.
We believe that early support can change the trajectory of a child's life. Through Quiet Light Collective, we fund therapy sessions, provide resources, and create safe pathways for children to access the help they need, without stigma, without barriers, and without delay.
Every session funded, every resource provided, every child supported is a step toward the world we wish Fresia had.
"I am Fresia's sister. I watched her struggle from childhood — through bullying, self-doubt, and health challenges that no child should have to carry alone.
She was someone I fiercely loved. And despite everything I tried, I couldn't protect her from the weight she carried.
Quiet Light Collective is my way of honoring her life. It's my way of turning grief into something that can help others. If we can help even one child feel seen, supported, and safe — then her story continues in a way that brings light into the world."
Rajan Baraich passed away in June 2020 at the age of 32, but his presence continues to live on in all of us who knew and loved him.
Rajan had a heart that was bigger than life itself. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His laugh was truly contagious. Growing up, he was an incredible soccer player, full of talent and passion. More than that, he was a loyal friend, someone who always stood by the people he cared about, even when they didn't always show him the same in return.
As he got older, Rajan faced struggles that slowly began to take hold of him. Through it all, I stood by him as his sister, supporting him in every way I could, just as my family did. He was deeply loved, cherished, and never alone in that love.
Not a single day goes by that we don't think about him. We laugh remembering his antics, share stories that bring him back to life in those moments, and sometimes hold back tears as we honour the beautiful person he was.
Rajan was the kind of person who would stop and help someone in need without hesitation. He had a kindness that came naturally to him. And while not everyone around him always reflected that same kindness, those who truly knew his heart showed up with love when it mattered most.
At the end of his life, our family made the decision to donate his organs. Through that gift, Rajan's heart was given to someone else, and it saved their life. Even in his passing, he continued to give, which speaks so deeply to the kind of person he was.
In honour of Rajan, and others like him, we created this charity to support individuals who are struggling, especially those who may not have access to the help they need. Everyone deserves support, compassion, and the chance to heal.
